H. capsulatum is reported as Positive or Negative.

Detectable antibody levels may not be present in patients with early, primary infections (first 3-6 weeks) or in immunosuppressed patients. Antibodies to B. dermatitidis or C. immitis can cross-react to cause false positive reactions in this test. Results should thus be considered in their entirety together with other diagnostic and clinical information.
