Collection Processing Instructions

This test is only orderable for: Marshfield Medical Center, Lakeview Hospital, St. Clare's Hospital and Flambeau Hospital.  

Must use specific USDTL collection kit located in Marshfield Medical Center neo-natal department. Clean cord with saline to remove excess blood. Pat cord dry and place in USDTL specimen container. Place two forms of ID on container and place tamper-evident seal from USDTL requisition on container cap with initials & date.
