Collection Processing Instructions
​Samples should be spun down and taken off the clot.  Sample must be received within 7 days of draw date if refrigerated.  Older samples are acceptable if they have been frozen.  Ship samples refrigerated.  If already frozen, send on dry ice.

Drugs to be tested against must be clearly listed in request (and entered as a comment in computer).  If the list of drugs includes heparin, please order Heparin Dependent Antibody test (HEPDA) performed at Marshfield. The Blood Center will test for anti-platelet antibody to drugs listed other than heparin.​
