Collection Processing Instructions

Fasting-overnight (12-14 hours) (infants-draw prior to next feeding).

Serum: Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube(s). Spin down and send 2 mL of serum in amber vial to protect from light.

Note: 1. Protect from light within 1 hour of collection.
         2. Patient must be fasting overnight (12 -14  hours).
         3. Patient must not consume any alcohol for 24 hours prior to draw.
