Test Information
Cross-reactions occur in blastomycosis, coccidiodomycosis, African histoplasmosis, paracoccidiodomycosis, penicilliosis, and rarely in aspergillosis and possibly in sporotrichosis. Negative results do not exclude histoplasmosis. Testing of both urine and serum offers the highest sensitivity. Failure of the antigen to rise does not exclude relapse.
