Useful For

Assessing if prolonged R (Reaction time) on standard TEG is due to circulating heparin and evaluating Functional Fibrinogen Level for patients on heparin. TEGHEP assay is also helpful to assess presence of heparin in patients post CABG when heparin rebound is suspected and for patients in cardiovascular surgery while on pump or when TEG6S is not available.
